Bust of José Martí - Cuban poet and essayist, who became the symbol of Cuba’s struggle for independence from Spain. Fidel’s quote here about him translates as: “The immortal ideas that Martí irrigated with his blood will never be betrayed!”
Saw quite a few of these cold war relic Polish-made Fiat 126’s around. They are nicknamed Maluch, meaning “The Little One” and are quite a charming contrast to all the giant American 50’s cars driving around.
A gorgeous midnight black 1957 Oldsmobile Super 88. I love the type/fender emblems on these beauties.

“Primavera” meaning ‘spring’ is a striking large-scale sculpture looking out on The Malecón created by the artist Rafael San Juan in honor of dancers from the Cuban National Ballet.

While I loved my visit, I stand with young Cubans who face ongoing power imbalances. From the stunning architecture to the vibrant art and warm, welcoming people, I wish them a future as bright and beautiful as they are.

While I loved my visit, I stand with young Cubans who face ongoing power imbalances. From the stunning architecture to the vibrant art and warm, welcoming people, I wish them a future as bright and beautiful as they are.

Bust of José Martí - Cuban poet and essayist, who became the symbol of Cuba’s struggle for independence from Spain. Fidel’s quote here about him translates as: “The immortal ideas that Martí irrigated with his blood will never be betrayed!”
Saw quite a few of these cold war relic Polish-made Fiat 126’s around. They are nicknamed Maluch, meaning “The Little One” and are quite a charming contrast to all the giant American 50’s cars driving around.
A gorgeous midnight black 1957 Oldsmobile Super 88. I love the type/fender emblems on these beauties.
